Advantage Ice Wins Valley Jr. Warrior National Showcase Tournament

The 2005 Advantage Ice Squirt Minor Elite team captured the Valley Jr. Warrior National Showcase Tournament this past weekend going 6-0.  The Ice started the tournament with an 8-3 victory over a gritty Jr Warrior Elite team.  The next day the Ice roared to an 11-0 victory over the Nova Scotia Selects setting up a fun filled weekend of hockey.

Saturday morning the Ice posted a 6-1 win over a feisty Pro Ambition All-Star team setting a must win game against a solid Top Gun Elite team.  That evening the Ice took care of business with a 4-2 win advancing them into Sunday’s quarter finals.  In the quarter finals the Ice again prevailed with a 5-3 win over a very good New Jersey Rockets team that had also been undefeated to send the Ice into the Championship game against a very talented Nova Scotia Prospects All Star team.

The championship game was very competitive and was a back in forth game that went into overtime where once again the Ice stayed true to form when they scored the overtime winner with less than two minutes to go to capture the 2005 Squirt Minor Championship.
